Terms of business
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. About the service
BilPorten is a listings platform where private sellers and dealers can advertise vehicles for sale. BilPorten is not a party to the deal between buyer and seller and does not handle payment.
2. Account
You must be 18 or over. You are responsible for the information on your account and for keeping your password secret. Dealers must state a valid Danish company (CVR) number and comply with the Danish Marketing Practices Act and the Consumer Contracts Act.
3. Listings
- The listing must describe the car correctly and in full. Known faults and damage must be disclosed.
- The price must be the real cash price including VAT. Dealers must state whether the price includes delivery costs.
- Photos must show the actual car. You may only upload photos you hold the rights to.
- One car per listing. Duplicates are removed.
- Listings run for 90 days and can be extended. We may remove listings that breach these terms or the law.
4. Pricing, commitment and payment
Private sellers advertise free of charge. Dealers pay a monthly subscription as set out in the price list. All business prices exclude VAT.
- Trial period: new dealers get a 30-day free trial. No payment card is required to start.
- Commitment period: after the trial period, the agreement runs for 6 months. The agreement can be terminated with effect from the end of the commitment period, and thereafter at the end of any billing period.
- Payment: the subscription is invoiced in advance. Payment is due 8 days net from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Price changes: the agreed price is fixed for the commitment period. If we change the price on renewal, we give at least 30 days' notice, and you may terminate at the end of the period if you do not want the new price.
- Late payment: if an invoice is not paid on time, default interest is charged under section 5 of the Danish Interest Act, and we may charge a reminder fee under section 9 b (max DKK 100 per reminder, max three reminders) as well as the fixed business compensation under section 9 a. We may pass the claim to debt collection, and the costs follow the Danish debt collection costs order.
- Suspension for non-payment: if an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we may take the listings offline until the amount is paid. The subscription and the commitment period continue to run — the listings are down, but the agreement stands.
5. Right of withdrawal
Private consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal on paid services under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, unless the service has been fully delivered with your express consent.
6. Liability
BilPorten does not warrant the accuracy of listings and is not liable for losses arising from deals between users. We always recommend viewing the car, checking the Danish vehicle register, and never paying in advance.
7. Misuse
Spam, fraud, harassment and automated collection (scraping) of data from BilPorten are prohibited and will result in the account being closed.
8. Governing law and complaints
Danish law applies. Consumers may complain to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution / Consumer Complaints Board (naevneneshus.dk) or via the EU's ODR platform. Contact: kontakt@bilporten.dk.
